Today, Sept.8,2009, the NWMS District held their popcorn kickoff at Citizens National Bank. There were 71 cub scouts and family present with 32 of that total from Pack 509. We Rocked!!!! With such a great turn out today we're looking forward to our own Pack Kickoff on Saturday at 1pm. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to make it to the kickoff at the bank today. We're looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday and reaching our pack popcorn goal. Thank you again for the great showing from the Pack 509 family. |

I would like to welcome all of our new scouts to Pack 509. We had a wonderful recruitment and have more than doubled the size of our pack. We're looking forward to Monday's meeting where all of our boys will be together for a wonderful Adventure in Scouting. I would also like to thank all of the boys and parents who showed up to help us with the recruitment. Without your help this pack would not thrive as it is doing so well. Thank you for all of your hard work. |

Our one and only fundraiser is just around the corner. The popcorn sale starts in September. We have an amazing program in place this year with new prizes available. How would you like a marshmallow shooter bow? Ask how you can get one just for selling popcorn. We are also offering a campout, an exclusive game day event with the Memphis Tigers Football Team, a weekend adventure for two at Little Red River in Arkansas, and a trip for 4 to a NFL Football Game. We encourage the boys to earn their way through Scouting. By selling popcorn, the boys can pay for most of their cost of Scouting for the entire year. I hope for a great sell this year. |
